I believe after an ADHD diagnosis, we are bombarded with information.
From what I see online and through my 1:1 coaching, people are trying to find all the strategies, but have not built their foundations and healthy habits (like drinking water, eating consistent meals, moving their bodies etc)
—> How can we expect ourselves to make sustainable changes and move forward in life with our ADHD, if we don’t meet our basic physiological needs first.
—> How can we expect ourselves to set healthy boundaries and say no, if we don’t actually understand ourselves and our energy enough as a baseline to move forward from?
—> How can we expect ourselves to break down our goals, take action and move forward, if we’re not even able to recognise when our inner critic is running the show and holding us back.
—> How can we expect a new strategy to stick if we aren’t even able to show self compassion?
It’s from here that I’ve realised there are 3 key areas in managing our ADHD.
